Milk Bands was invented in January 2005 by Jenny Pierce, a young mother of two children. Milk Bands are a solution for breastfeeding mothers who desire to keep and accurate log of their baby's feeds. Milk Bands are a uniquely designed bracelet the enables the mother to quickly identify which breast she last used to feed the baby by simply turning the bracelet inside-out! When the owner approached us we were told to create a cute and informative site and to incorporate an on line store within the site.

The Challenge

The problem we had to face was how to create a cute and attractive site but keep the serious and informative approach? Also how could we integrate an on line store to go with the theme?

The Solution

The design
The first problem to address was choosing a design with proper colors. The whole idea of the site is to motivate women to choose the product and see how it will change their lives so the “Testimonials” page was a must. We also created an interactive map to find stores where to buy milk bands from.

The on line store
In order to create an on line store we had to create a data base management system that would ensure updates for the inventory every 15 minutes.

Other features include a page full of links to products the site owner likes and recommends

The Business Value

The business value of the product its self is huge. It is the easiest tool to help nursing mothers. Combined with the features the website offers the business is bound to become huge and a new trend for trendy moms.
